Christmas Past & Present has so many things running through my mind.
As we get the shop ready for Open House I had my grandson in my arms walking him around the shop. I showed him pictures of his great-great grandpa and his great grandpa wondering what his life would be like; the many times in my life that I have not known what was next...
I was lucky and started in the horticulture industry when I was 13. The memories of Christmas Open House at Lundstrom’s Florist and the fun we had, well, all the good food. Mrs. Lundstrom shaped me for a long life in horticulture. My dad was gone and my mom was sick. Through my life I have kept many things to hand down to my son and to my grandson. I feel so lucky to hold my grandson and to work with my son because I did not get to do that with my dad or mom.
So, if one thing that we take from our Christmas Past and Present is to share the memories with our family of those who are not with us anymore. Family is the common thread between Past & present that we use to sow our life story. Merry Christmas.
