Christmas is a special time of the year. It's about spending time with family. I feel lucky that I get to work with my family.
Growing up when we were little, I'm talking like 2 or 3, apparently my brother Bill and I would get into the Christmas presents. To make us wait, Dad would put the crib around the tree so we couldn't get to the presents. We would stand there looking through the crib at the presents wondering what they were. When we were a little older, Dad was Santa Claus at school.
Christmas on the LeFevre side was always at Aunt Jessie and Uncle Hayden's house. The highlight we looked forward to was playing pool with Uncle Jink. On the Nichol's side of the family we always went over to Granny's house. We would spend a week before Christmas at her house decorating cookies and helping her decorate the house.
Take time this Christmas to enjoy time with your family and make those special memories that you will enjoy for the rest of your life.
Every year that goes by, I'm thankful for being able to do what I love. We could not do it without the support of our community and gardening friends. Wishing you and your family many blessings this holiday season.
