Toni Klingler was hooked after making her first basket. Her continued interest in weaving is motivated by the individuality of each piece. She taught her first basket class as a bible study. After retiring as an Early Childhood teacher, Toni started weaving more seriously by taking classes with nationaly renouned teachers. She finds interesting natural items during walks in the woods to embellish baskets and gourds. Toni finds it difficult to choose a favorite style of weaving. Each style provides unique challenges and excitement. Now she teaches and creates in her home studio in Galena. She exhibits and sells her creations at Galleries and Farmers Markets, as well as, area art festivals.
